It’s almost here, only 3 days until Christmas is here! It feels like its been a long festive season for the House Team here at Polesden. We’ve been planning Christmas since April and ideas for next years event are already in the pipeline. Our 1930’s Christmas event is still in full swing so if you’ve not yet popped down you’ve still got time! The house will be open from 11-3.30 until the 23 December. You can see all the trees in the house, spot Mrs Greville’s dogs having a party of their own, smell the Christmas cheer in the air, hear a housemaid reminiscing about Christmas at Polesden and help yourself to a glass of Mulled Wine before you leave. And most importantly lets not forget writing a letter to Father Christmas!
The house will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the house team are all looking forward to a well earned rest ready for the next phase of the winter clean which starts straight away after Christmas.
Polesden is always a popular place to visit on Boxing day, for those you you wishing to get out and get a bit of fresh air – the property runs a marvelous event called Polesdenopoly where the whole property becomes a board game – fun for all the family. Polesdenopoly will run from the 26 December to 3 January.
You can also catch a glimpse of the big tree before it comes down. We will be opening the central hall of the house to view the tree from the 26 December to the 3 January from 11 – 3.30 each day where you will be able to see the big tree and enjoy the music of the 1930’s.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the team at Polesden Lacey.
