Society’s Soldiers

You may remember back in March when I mentioned all about our new display on WW1 within my post “Spring is here”. I spoke briefly about the use of Polesden Lacey as a Convalescent home for wounded soldiers.

Anyone who has visited Polesden may well have seen the display within the smoking room or even have been on one of our popular research tours which run weekdays at 1.45pm.

We have been busy doing additional research into the soldiers that stayed here at Polesden Lacey and are now beginning to pool that research together. We hope to update the display and add to the information already presented. As well as continuing our research we have also put together a dedicated research Blog, where we will add more information as we find it.
